Maverick Movie Awards has only gotten bigger and bigger over the last few decades. It’s had many humble moments – supporting many films and filmmakers that no one has heard of… and the entire team behind this event is still, as it has always has been, a dedicated group of independent filmmakers and film lovers working through these submissions with the core concept of “What makes indie film a maverick exercise?”

We look for the Maverick in your films. The actor in the background. The moment of dedication a sole cameraman put into adjusting the light in a dark scene. A camera angle that’s unusual and part of a director’s vision. So consider this an invitation – come and show us your maverick. Show us your passion!
